This data is collected in the WordPress database, where it stays until the comment, post or blog is deleted. The confidentiality of this data is guaranteed and an SSL security certificate is used to protect it. The data are not shared with other people or entities.

Your comments may be checked using an automated spam detection service.

The anonymised string created from your email address can be provided to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here. When you approve a comment, your profile picture is visible next to the comment.
